Pocket Types and Techniques
Doesn’t everyone want to add pockets to their clothing? But what kind of pocket and how to begin? This class teaches Sewists how to make different styles of pockets including patch, welt, side seam and slashed. Students leave with four examples of pockets to use as reference for future projects.
In this class Students will learn to sew a patch pocket, a welt pocket, a side seam pocket and a slashed pocket. Students will also learn how to add a flap, how to use a tailor’s tack and will go home with samples of each pocket style.

Skill Details: | Ages 15+ Must know how to operate a sewing machine without assistance and general sewing terminology. If you are new to sewing machines, you must take Intro to Sewing first. |
