Denim Embroidery: Planning and Techniques

One of the beauties of creating your own denim garments is the ability to completely make something unique to your exact taste. Learn how to plan out your embroidery on denim and key techniques to create an amazingly unique creation.

In this class, you will learn how to plan out your next denim embroidery project by exploring designs, options, and project types. In addition, we will practice three different embroidery techniques on sample denim - cutwork, continuous embroidery, and applique techniques. We will also explore a variety of specialty threads - Wonderfil Spaghetti, Glamore, Fabulux, and Metallic threads.

This class is ideal when you have washed your fabric and cut out pieces for your pattern but BEFORE you being construction on your denim projects.

PLEASE NOTE: Your embroidery machine will need to support a USB drive for file transfer and a minimum 5in x 7in hoop to complete this project. If you would like to use one of our shop machines for this project, please contact our Education Director via email at education@mrsewingmachine.com to ensure availability before registration.
