Basics of Wig Making

People wear wigs for many reasons: to change up their daily look with a new style, to manage hair loss due to medical issues, to take on new cosplay characters and to spice things up big in an exuberant show! But wigs can be costly and customized ones can be difficult to find. Come learn the basics of wig making using your sewing skills and see what you can create.

In this class you will learn the tools of wig making, how to measure your head and how much hair you will need. You will learn the basic skills of sewing hair with a sewing machine and when to use a mannequin head.

This is a class to learn wig making techniques. You will learn so much in making this wig and as many first-time projects go, our skills improve with each make. As such, consider this class a learning experience by making a practice wig and spend your money on supplies accordingly.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: -Ages 15+ -Must know how to operate a sewing machine without assistance and general sewing terminology. If are new to sewing, take our Intro to Sewing class.
