Quilting with your Serger
Quilting with your serger is fun and, more importantly, the bobbin never runs out! Learn how to piece, quilt, and bind a small placemat to get you started.
In this class, you will learn how to piece cotton using a lace applicator or blind hem foot for your serger - a foot that will have an edge for stitching along fabric edges. We will quilt using a three thread overlock serger and for attaching binding. The very last part - stitching down the binding - will need to be either hand stitched or straightline stitched on a sewing machine.
This class was designed specifically for Baby Lock sergers. You are welcome to bring another brand of serger to this class but you will need to bring your user manual and the proper foot for edge stitching - either a lace applicator or blind hem foot. Without the proper foot, there is no guarantee we will be able to cover the curriculum on your specific serger. If this is the case, you will have the option to use one of our sergers to complete the class curriculum.
