Intro To Sergers

Tensions, threading, overlocks...oh my! A manual serger can be intimidating to learn but this class will teach you all about the basics of operating a serger.

In this class, you will explore all of the features and capabilities of a serger. Learn how to thread your serger, properly set your tensions, clean/maintain your serger and create several of the most commonly used serger stitches - a standard 4-thread overlock and a 3-thread overlock. You will leave class with samples of the various stitches, including notes on machine and tension settings for each one. Put them in a binder for future reference!

You will need to come to class with your own serger.

Materials Included:	All materials needed for this class can be purchased for an additional $20. If you opt to only pay for the class, these are the materials you will need to bring: 3/4 yd of fabric (main pillow fabric) 1/4 yd of fabric (cuff pillow fabric) 1/8 yd of fabric (flange fabric) (1) Chenille Needles
