Intro to Garment Sewing 3.0

Learn all about knits and how to work with them in part three of our Intro to Garment series.

In this class, you will learn various tips and tricks used to make sewing with knits a breeze because we all know sewing with knits can be slightly intimidating. Students will end this class by creating the Lark Tee. 

Expand your knowledge of garment construction by learning how to properly handle and sew fabrics that stretch.

This class is the third in our Intro to Garment series. Classes in this series are:
Materials Included: All materials needed for this class can be purchased for an additional $40. If you purchase Class + Materials, we will provide a variety of fabric kits to select from at the beginning of class.

If you opt to only pay for the class, these are the materials you will need to bring:

  • 2 Yds light to medium weight jersey knit
  • Ballpoint jersey needle
  • Matching thread
Requirements: Additional items you will need but are offered at classroom stations include:

  • Sewing machine (you may bring your own or use the classroom sewing machines)
  • Pins (included at classroom station)
  • Fabric Marking tool (included at classroom station)
  • Sewing gauge (included at classroom station)
  • Shears (included at classroom station)
