Denim Sewing Challenge Sit and Sew Take any of our Denim Sewing Challenge classes, complete the project over the next few months, then bring it to Mr. Sewing Machine and show us. We will give you a limited edition Denim enamel pin. There are three different ones, you can earn them all!

In this class you will begin the process of making a denim jacket. We will be using a unisex jacket pattern from Friday Pattern Co. called the Ilford Jacket. This jacket can be customized a million different ways and really is a "choose your own adventure" that incorporates your design sense.

Would you like to design your own patterns? Pattern drafting is a process of taking measurements and creating a sloper. The sloper you make in class becomes the beginning point from which all other patterns can be designed. This class is the first in a three part series and will focus on the bodice.

You've made the bodice and now you need sleeves. From the sleeve sloper you will be able to make a variety of different sleeve types including tailored, flutter and puffy all different lengths. This sloper will work no matter what the season you are designing for.
